The Tooling and Machining Trade Program
has the following minimum requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
technical or trade school certificate or equivalent (i. e., Completed Certificate of Apprenticeship)
Working proficiency in English and/or French.
Five (5) years experience as a Journeyperson, after completion of technical or trade school certificate or equivalent.
Three occupations have been identified by the industry as being in short supply and have been included in the program:
Mould Maker
Foundry Pattern Maker
Tool and Die Maker The following industries are part of this agreement: The Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association The Canadian Die Casters Association The Canadian Plastics Industry Association
