We have 467 English-language, 106 French-language, and 86 third-language services, for a total of 679 TV services. Dramas and comedies are the most popular programs, capturing 44% of all television viewing.

Canada has a Canadian Content policy, making sure that a certain percentage of programs on TV is Canadian. One of my favorite Canadian programs is Corner Gas, a comedy about the people in a fictional small town in Saskatchewan The CBC, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is Canada's national public broadcaster and one of its largest cultural institutions. It has 8 national radio and television networks. Local and regional stations and affiliates. Country Canada is its digital channel. CBC supplies local, regional, national and world news in addition to many other programs.

The CTV Television has one of Canada's strongest stables of specialty channels, including Canada's number-one specialty channel, TSN, along with the companion website tsn.ca. It has programs like Canada AM, a country wide morning news program, and the popular Canadian Idol series.

The CRTC is the regulatory organization in charge of all telecommunications, and the rules regarding the Canada Content on TV.
