If you are a deaf person, you can use a special display telephone to communicate. You can transmit videos via a wireless hand held phone. You can even vote for your favorite star on a televisions show. There is Interactive TV, and you can watch what you want, whenever you want.
In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. Bell's "electrical speech machine" paved the way for the Information Superhighway. The communication industry has undergone an amazing revolution. I don’t think that even Mr. Bell had any idea of what we can do with today’s communication devices.
The industry in Canada is regulated by the Canadian Radio-Televison and Telecommunication Commission who regulates and supervises all aspects of the Canadian broadcasting system, as well as common carriers and service providers that fall under federal jurisdiction.
