Bay of Fundy
Experience the majesty of the Bay of Fundy. One moment you can walk on the ocean floor amongst "tree-tufted" sandstone formations that have been sculpted by the endless churning of the tides. But get away in time because twice a day, every day, 100 billion tonnes of seawater will roll in. The world’s highest tides rise and fall the height of a four-storey building. Bay of Fundy Facts: - 15 species of whales visit the Bay
- Thirty-four species of shorebirds use the marshes and mudlands of the upper Bay
- The Bay of Fundy is a rich source of dinosaur footprint
- 75 to 95 percent of the world’s semi-palmated Sandpipers depend on the Bay of Fundy mudflats for their survival
- this World heritage Site has the Best Atlantic Views (Reader's Digest June 2006)
Magnetic Hill
Our daughter visited Magnetic Hill and it is absolutely amazing. You drive to the bottom of the hill, put your car in neutral and you take your foot off the brake. Your car will roll uphill. It is amazing, you sit there and you know that this is impossible, yet it is happening. Nobody knows why, is it a magnetic force? This natural phenomenon has been puzzling tourists for decades.
The Crystal Palace is open all year round. Feel your heartpound with excitement on the Bullet Rollercoaster and enjoy the view from high above on the Waveswinger. It offers all kinds of rides for young and old. Miniature Golf, Ferris Wheel, Bumper Cars, Bumper Boats, Go-Karts, and much more...While enjoying the amusement park, stay at the Ramada Plaza Crystal Palace Hotel, in their themed suites. Whale Watching Go whale watching and you might be very lucky. There are only about 300 Right Whales left in the world, and chances are that you see them here.
