TAX REFUNDS FOR VISITORS TO CANADA
When you leave Canada, you may be eligible for a tax refund on goods you bought in Canada if you take them out of the country within 60 days. You may also claim a refund for the goods and services tax (GST) or the harmonized sales tax (HST) paid on accommodations if you stay less than one month at the same location.
NOTE On September 25, 2006, the Government of Canada announced the elimination of the GST Visitors' Rebate Program However, if you have visited Canada recently, you might still be eligible for a rebate. Check the Canada Visitor Rebate Guide
