While visiting the city, stay at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino Calgary's newest and finest hotel convention centre and entertainment complex.
Or enjoy the rich Edwardian commercial-style architecture reflecting a time of truly grand hotels. Marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and gold-gilded ceilings earmark the lobby of the Fairmont Palliser.
The Rimrock, a Tudor-style restaurant, opens out to the lobby, and showcases a heraldic heritage fireplace, barreled ceilings, and a 38-foot mural by Banff artist, Charles Beil. Located on the Boulevard Level, the glass rotunda of the Canadian Pacific Railway Pavilion is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century European railway station with vintage 1920 rail cars.
