Calgary is best known for the majestic, awe-inspiring scenery central to the imagery and imagination evoked by the frontier of the untamed west. It is also known for the best western show in the world.The Calgary Stampede is held in the first two weeks of July. It is 10 days of hair-down, heel-stompin', wild West partying.
