Tourism in Alberta

With a population of about 3 million people, Alberta tourism brings in 4 billion dollars per year. It's home to Canada's oldest national park, Banff National Park and the world's largest shopping and entertainment complex, the West Edmonton Mall.

The capital city of Alberta, the fourth largest province in Canada is Edmonton. The land area in the province is mostly prairies, forests and mountain regions. It has low humidity and considerable contrasts between areas and seasons. Average temperatures range from -8C (18F) in January to 23C (73F) in July. The sun shines here more days than in any other province in Canada.

Alberta has a huge and varied amount of things to do and see.

  • Jasper National Park
